Requirements
Must:
- Over 8 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or similar fields with deep knowledge of modern cloud-based analytics platforms.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Data Warehouses, Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, and Real-Time Analytics.
- Capability to design and implement scalable data solutions utilizing Fabric OneLake architecture, Delta Lake tables, and Fabric pipelines.
- Proficiency in data engineering best practices, encompassing data modeling, data integration, and building high-performing analytical data stores.
- Solid understanding of SAP systems and their underlying data structures, with the ability to integrate SAP data into Fabric pipelines.
- High level of expertise in SQL, including performance tuning and the development of complex queries for Fabric Lakehouse and Warehouses.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with business partners and both onshore and offshore teams.
- Strong analytical abilities to convert business needs into scalable Fabric data models and data products.
- Excellent skills in task management, prioritization, and problem solving, driving projects from conceptualization to completion.
- Familiarity with SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and project management tools such as Jira.
- Certifications in Azure or Fabric technologies are an advantage.
- Experience in data modeling (Native HANA) and TDV is a plus.
- Familiarity with ETL tools, preferably Talend.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and comprehend functional needs for data products and reporting.
- Design scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Fabric pipelines, notebooks, and SQL.
- Collect, process, and model raw data efficiently to support analytical and operational use cases, utilizing scripts, REST calls, and SQL queries.
- Implement cost optimization and governance measures over Fabric capacities and workspaces to maximize resource efficiency.
- Work alongside software developers and analysts to ensure reliable, high-performance data delivery across Fabric workloads.
- Create analytics-ready datasets and tools using Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse to generate insights regarding customer acquisition, operational activities, and business KPIs.
- Develop optimized SQL for the Fabric Warehouse and Lakehouse engines.
- Mentor junior engineers and share best practices related to Fabric-based data modeling and engineering.
- Oversee the entire project delivery cycle, including communication, development, testing, migration, support, and documentation.
- Conduct performance tuning for pipelines and queries across Fabric workloads.
- Analyze data trends and patterns to transform them into actionable business recommendations.
- Engage in defining best practices surrounding data model development and deliverables.
