Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field of information technology or at least 7 years of progressive full-stack engineering experience - 3 to 5 years of experience working in various environments applying Agile software development principles - Demonstrated experience as a Full Stack Engineer focusing on healthcare interoperability - Proficient in Java and/or .NET for backend development, including API and service design - Expertise in JavaScript, particularly with React and associated frameworks (e.g., NextJS) for creating user-friendly front-end applications - Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or equivalent cloud-native application development - Understanding of healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7, FHIR, and OMOP - Strong analytical abilities and a collaborative mindset for working within cross-functional teams - Familiarity with DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous - Knowledge of healthcare data security and compliance regulations, including HIPAA, is preferred - Exceptional communication skills to relay complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences - A proactive attitude and a continuous desire to remain abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices

Responsibilities

- Utilize well-architected frameworks to design and implement foundational functions within the Mayo Clinic Platform - Develop, enhance, and maintain healthcare interoperability solutions for secure data exchange between systems and applications - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications and architectural designs - Create and maintain robust backend solutions using Java and/or .NET, ensuring data integrity and compliance with healthcare standards - Build and maintain front-end applications utilizing React for responsive user interfaces tailored for healthcare professionals and patients - Integrate external healthcare systems, APIs, and data sources to ensure seamless interoperability within our platform - Work in conjunction with cloud architects to deploy and manage healthcare solutions on Google Cloud Platform - Establish and uphold DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, to automate deployment and maintain high application performance - Collaborate with data engineering to manage and analyze healthcare data for insightful decision-making - Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in healthcare interoperability and relevant technologies - Partner with product and solutions teams to identify integration opportunities and develop repeatable processes to minimize unique integrations - Collaborate with support teams to design and implement management tools for platform operations, including monitoring and logging tools - Assist in overseeing compliance with SLAs or OLAs in coordination with services teams - Support and advise on executing the Mayo Clinic Platform Technical roadmap - Mentor and guide technical team members to foster technical growth and systematic thinking - Define and implement effective Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes aligned with Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) practices
