Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree with 5 years of relevant technical experience, or an Associates degree with 7 years of experience, or a High School diploma/GED with 9 years of experience in a large organization
- A minimum of 1 year of proven leadership experience
- Demonstrated ability to work across various environments including both cloud and on-premise
- Functional knowledge of cloud ecosystems and cutting-edge cloud technologies
- Working experience in applying engineering principles to design and production processes
- Familiarity with best practices in data center design
- Knowledge of DevOps principles and methodologies
- Ability to present complex information to senior management and executive stakeholders
- Skills in anticipating, managing, and resolving technical challenges
- Certification in cloud engineering is mandatory
Responsibilities
- Ensure optimization of enterprise cloud solutions for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Execute the cloud and infrastructure strategy established by architects
- Develop and implement compatibility of internal and external systems
- Create complex automation scripts using various tools
- Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and operational level agreements (OLAs)
- Document new or updated solutions and installation procedures
- Write configurations for cloud platforms using the appropriate tools
- Collaborate with development teams and manage the operational aspects of DevOps
- Design and maintain tools and frameworks for application development
- Utilize technology for automation and orchestration implementation
- Lead the adoption and integration of cloud technologies across business functions
- Seek innovative methods for cloud solution integration
- Ensure compliance of cloud solutions with architectural guidelines
- Evaluate enterprise cloud technology standards for improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with security teams to maintain a secure technology environment
- Plan and validate the implementation and upkeep of cloud solutions
- Implement governance procedures for access control and cost management
- Generate time and cost estimates for cloud solutions
- Define specifications for cloud systems and assess compatibility requirements
- Assess technical needs to gauge the impact of cloud technologies on infrastructure
- Design physical layouts for cloud-based infrastructure solutions
