Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree with 5 years of relevant technical experience and 1 year of leadership experience - Associates degree with 7 years of experience and 1 year of leadership experience - High school diploma/GED with 9 years of experience and 1 year of leadership experience in a complex organization - Demonstrated ability to operate across diverse environments including cloud and on-premise scenarios - Solid understanding of cloud ecosystems and emerging technologies - Practical knowledge of engineering principles and technology for product and service design - Familiarity with best practices in data center design - Knowledge of DevOps principles and methodologies - Skilled in developing and presenting requirements, concepts of operations, use cases, and demonstrations - Competence in identifying, managing, and resolving technical issues - Effective communication skills with the ability to present to senior management - Certification in cloud engineering is mandatory - Strongly Preferred Qualifications: - Proven track record in designing and implementing cloud control plane solutions - Practical experience with AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform - Proficient in Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code practices; scripting in Python, Go, or Bash - Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration - Experience in leadership and mentoring - Preferred Qualifications: - Familiarity with Spacelift - Experience developing Integrated Developer Platforms (IDP) - Understanding of Open Policy Agent (OPA), HashiCorp Vault, and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub - Background in regulated industries like healthcare

Responsibilities

- Design and implement robust cloud control plane solutions, focusing on orchestration frameworks and governance layers - Develop components for an Integrated Developer Platform (IDP) that facilitate developer self-service and automated workflows - Create and manage Terraform modules and automation workflows to ensure consistent and secure deployments - Build APIs and automation tools for effective resource management and governance - Incorporate policy-as-code, enforce guardrails, and maintain role-based access compliance - Integrate cloud-native services with unified logging and alerting systems for enhanced observability - Mentor fellow engineers while providing technical guidance and nurturing a collaborative culture for continuous improvement
