Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, OR High School diploma with three (3) years of experience in the information security domain.
- Basic experience in security analysis and penetration testing for client/server-based systems and networks.
- Familiarity with security protocols for network, application, and operating systems, along with experience in logical access controls to maintain confidentiality.
- Foundational knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
- Proven strong communication abilities.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
- Ability to work autonomously while also being open to seeking assistance and guidance.
- Completion of Office of Information Security Training curriculum within one year.
Responsibilities
- Assist users with security-related inquiries and conduct technical analysis of varying complexity.
- Follow established procedures to contain, analyze, and mitigate malicious activities while collaborating with other units in the Office of Information Security to achieve shared objectives.
- Contribute to the development and upkeep of SOC documentation.
- Provide essential security design support and consultation for various projects and initiatives.
- Engage in the research, configuration, and management of systems and processes to ensure the safeguarding of information processed, stored, and transmitted across Mayo Clinics computing environments.
- Work under the direct supervision and mentorship of Information Security Directors and fellow Information Security Engineers.
