Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline such as engineering, mathematics, computer science, health science, or a related analytical/quantitative field
- A minimum of three years of professional or research experience in data science
- Preferred: Masters degree or PhD in a relevant field with at least one year of professional or research experience in data science
- Proven experience in developing predictive models to solve various business challenges using advanced statistical modeling, machine learning, or data mining techniques
- Knowledge in applying various problem-solving methodologies and analytical tools (e.g., machine learning, statistical packages)
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
- Strong analytical skills with the capability to identify problems and suggest effective solutions
- Proficient in advanced computer applications and a commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Familiarity with data modeling and exploration tools
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analyses of large and diverse datasets to identify patterns and insights impacting patient health
- Collaborate with knowledge architects, informaticians, and clinicians to design and implement AI and analytic solutions
- Develop and adapt existing scripts or software to aid in data management, extraction, and analysis
- Create predictive models to address various business issues using statistical and machine learning approaches
- Provide consultative insights to departments and support scientific projects under senior data scientists guidance
- Analyze both structured and unstructured data to deliver insights for business challenges
- Execute analytical procedures as outlined in project requests
- Contribute to data interpretation and assist in report writing
- Educate customers on data sets and offer training and recommendations for improving data requests
- Leverage strong communication skills to present findings in an accessible manner for clinical and business stakeholders
