Requirements
Must:
- Active Secret clearance is required.
- Candidates must be U.S. citizens with no dual citizenship, due to agency and contract requirements.
- This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime. You must be willing and able to meet recall requirements and participate in a rotational on-call schedule.
- Candidates must reside within a commutable distance and be available to work onsite at the customer’s discretion, including being on-site during the transition period. This position is based around Colorado Springs, CO.
- You must accommodate a rotational on-call schedule as needed.
- A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
- You should have at least 7 years of experience working as a system administrator on Linux or Red Hat systems (related experience is acceptable).
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the RHEL-based server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and patch management.
- Work with RHEL 7.x/8.x and perform system administration, which includes installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Perform system backups and recovery processes to ensure high availability and data protection.
- Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions to meet business requirements and enhance the RHEL server environment.
- Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Perform vulnerability scans using common scanning tools such as Tenable, HP WebInspect, and others.
- Investigate security breaches, risks, and attacks; create mitigation plans, and implement both proactive and retrospective solutions.

The expected annual salary range for this position is between $81,000.00 and $120,000.00, commensurate with your experience and job responsibilities.
