Requirements
Must:
We require a candidate with 12 years of experience in a Senior Network Engineer role or a related field. You must possess one of the following certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE), or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE). An active security clearance is needed, and due to federal requirements, we can only consider US Citizens (candidates with dual citizenship cannot apply). A high school diploma or GED is also required. This role is onsite at a government facility, requiring presence five days a week, and candidates must reside within a commutable distance to Colorado Springs. Participation in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs is a must.
Responsibilities
As our Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure. Your key duties will include configuring and maintaining network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN concentrators. You will monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal throughput and reliability. Troubleshooting and resolving network issues using firewall logs, switch packet capture tools, and Wireshark will be part of your daily tasks. You will conduct network capacity planning, manage bandwidth, and collaborate with teams to integrate network infrastructure with cloud services and other IT components. Staying updated on emerging technologies and maintaining network documentation will be essential, along with providing technical leadership to junior engineers and managing network security.

Our compensation is based on various factors, including job location, education, training, experience, and internal pay alignment. The annual salary for this position ranges between $90,000.00 and $130,000.00, and we provide a variety of benefits, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, and paid time off. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation, and we will adhere to all regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds.
