Requirements
Must:
We require an active Secret clearance, and due to federal regulations, all candidates must be US citizens without dual citizenship to another country. You should have at least 7 years of experience working as a system administrator on Linux or Red Hat systems, and related experience is acceptable. This position is on-site at a government facility in Annapolis Junction, MD, necessitating your presence five days per week. Additionally, you must reside within a commutable distance and participate in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will manage and support RHEL-based server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and patch management. Your responsibilities will encompass performing system administration tasks for RHEL 7.x/8.x, monitoring and analyzing system performance to identify and resolve bottlenecks, and executing system backup and recovery operations to ensure data protection and high availability. You will assess and recommend hardware and software solutions, develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations and troubleshooting procedures, conduct vulnerability assessments, investigate security incidents, and design mitigation strategies to enhance security.
