Must:
I am looking for a highly skilled Platform Infrastructure Engineer with at least 12 years of experience in the related field. You will need to have an active Secret clearance and, due to federal requirements, must be a U.S. Citizen without dual citizenship to another country. You will be required to work on-site at a government facility in Annapolis Junction, MD, five days per week, and must reside within a commutable distance. Participation in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs will also be required. Preferred certifications include Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA).
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for the deployment and maintenance of several platforms supporting multiple applications. Your specific responsibilities will include monitoring and optimizing system performance while implementing corrective actions on current platforms. You will oversee and conduct regular cybersecurity vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, develop and maintain security incident response plans and procedures, and create automation scripts and tools to streamline platform deployments. You will also deploy and manage machines using VMware, vCenter, Kickstart, Puppet, Foreman, and CIS-CAT, manage host-based security systems, and utilize monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, IBM NetCool, and Solarwinds. Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS and Azure, is a bonus but not required.
