We are looking for individuals with the following qualifications:
- An active Secret Clearance is mandatory.
- A minimum of 10 years in a related field.
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) is required.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent higher education is necessary; however, we will consider 4 years of experience in place of a degree.
- Candidates must be US Citizens and cannot possess dual citizenship.
- Hands-on experience with OpenShift is essential.
- Due to the nature of the position, it is required to be on-site at a government facility in Colorado Springs, CO, five days a week.
- Candidates should reside within a reasonable commuting distance.
- Engagement in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency incidents is expected.
Responsibilities
In this role as a DevOps Engineer, I will rely on you to:
- Design, construct, and sustain a scalable Platform-as-a-Service Infrastructure utilizing RHEL and OpenShift Container Platforms, which includes data services, storage, networking, and security features.
- Monitor, enhance system performance, and carry out corrective actions within a hybrid/private cloud environment.
- Perform regular cybersecurity vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Formulate and maintain security incident response strategies and protocols.
- Create and implement automation scripts and tools to optimize platform deployments, provisioning, and management tasks.
- Oversee the deployment and management of machines utilizing VMware, vCenter, Kickstart, Puppet, Foreman, and CIS-CAT.
- Manage and configure host-based security solutions.
- Apply DevOps methodologies and tools while supporting Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within RHEL containers.
- Leverage monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, IBM NetCool, and Solarwinds.
- Apply patches and manage systems through Red Hat Satellite Server.
- Understand and manage networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, and firewalls.
- Troubleshoot and resolve service interruptions, including providing on-call support.
- Offer hardware support for servers and workstations.
- Utilize cloud platforms like AWS and Azure for managing, securing, and maintaining the environment/platform infrastructure.

We are eager to add a highly adept and seasoned professional to our team as a DevOps Engineer with expertise in Red Hat Linux. This position focuses on leading the development, deployment, and upkeep of our platform-as-a-service offering. Your collaboration with cross-functional teams and oversight of technical architecture will be key in delivering scalable and reliable solutions. Please note this is an onsite position, scheduled for 5 days a week, and requires a secret clearance.
