Requirements

Must:
- An active Secret security clearance or higher is mandatory. - A minimum of 10 years of cumulative experience in the relevant field is necessary. - A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required; a master’s degree may substitute for 2 years of experience. - At least 10 years of software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages, alongside the ability to utilize various tool suites related to DevSecOps, microservices, and containers. - A minimum of 5 years of recent and relevant experience in back-end web design and development. - Proven experience in preparing, conducting, and documenting diverse system tests and results to ensure system functionality and adherence to project standards and requirements. - Demonstrated experience with relational databases, RESTful API development, and integration. - 5 years of experience specifically with Python and PostgreSQL. - A minimum of 5 years utilizing bug tracking software, such as Jira. - 5 years of experience in testing web-based applications. - 5 years of experience leading software development programs or projects. - Practical experience in developing within a cloud environment. - A minimum of 3 years of experience with AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes, and RedHat Linux. - 10 years of experience with relational databases, with a specific emphasis on at least 5 years of PostgreSQL application experience. - 5 years of experience with at least five of the following technologies: - BASH - Spring - Ansible - JUnit5 - Nexus Repository - Maven

Responsibilities

- As a Senior Back-End Developer, I will provide subject matter expertise for assigned tasks. - I will utilize analytical skills to assist in process improvements, conduct specialized studies, and determine requirements. - My typical duties will include analysis, planning, documentation of requirements, building functional models, procedure development, functional architecture creation, and other associated management and technical tasks. - I will execute engineering tasks focused on back-end design and development, including the formulation of back-end architectures to support current and future system capabilities and integrations. - I will prioritize RESTful API development and modification, database management, and the development and optimization of data models.

This position is contingent upon the award of the contract. While remote work is possible, occasional paid travel might be necessary to client locations in either San Antonio, Texas, or Baltimore, Maryland.
