Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in IT operations, site reliability engineering, or infrastructure management.
- Bachelors degree in information technology or a related discipline.
- Top Secret or DOE Q security clearance is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with application deployments and operations support.
- Development skills in Java, .NET, Go, Python, or proficiency with the low-code Appian platform.
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL for query development and optimization.
- Basic understanding of Linux administration.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical teams across various security domains.
- Preferred: Experience with Appian platform administration.
- Preferred: Strong grasp of monitoring tools, operational dashboards, and performance analysis techniques.
- Preferred: Knowledge of technologies like CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, TypeScript, or jQuery.
- Preferred: Java debugging capabilities, including log analysis, exception tracking, and root cause analysis.
- Preferred: Familiarity with backend and middleware technologies such as SQL/NoSQL databases, application servers, enterprise service buses, and identity/access control integrations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the triage, root cause analysis, and resolution of production issues, delivering actionable insights to development teams.
- Act as the primary onsite responder for system incidents, outages, and performance issues.
- Monitor the health of systems, servers, and platforms; identify performance trends and proactively manage risks and service disruptions.
- Conduct platform upgrades and apply necessary patches.
- Execute Appian and full stack application deployments, ensuring accurate configuration, version control, and release quality.
- Represent Maximus at various IT forums and discussions.

This full-time role, which requires a Top Secret or DOE-Q security clearance, is focused on ensuring the stability, performance, and ongoing enhancement of our production systems. By collaborating closely with our engineering teams, project leads, and various stakeholders, you will help troubleshoot and resolve issues, manage deployments, oversee system health, and guarantee a dependable operating environment.
