Senior RHEL Engineer

- Design and deploy containerized applications utilizing Red Hat OpenShift, ensuring efficiency and scalability. - Enhance and fine-tune monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Loki, Grafana) for live application health assessments. - Transition OpenShift cluster operations to support both connected and partially disconnected environments, facilitating the deployment of vital security updates. - Automate the provisioning and scaling of clusters to expedite deployment and reduce the likelihood of errors. - Oversee and optimize multi-cluster OpenShift environments across production and development settings, aiming for 99.99% uptime. - Conduct training sessions and update documentation to elevate team knowledge in Red Hat Advanced Cluster Manager and Kubernetes management. - Integrate Red Hat Satellite for effective patch management and system updates across various environments. - Formulate and execute disaster recovery plans and backup strategies for crucial systems. - Configure and manage network services (e.g., DNS, DHCP, NFS) within RHEL environments. - Fine-tune the kernel and system settings to boost performance and reliability. - Establish and enforce security protocols using SELinux and firewall configurations. - Perform root cause analyses of system failures, implementing corrective measures to prevent repetition. - Enforce cloud security best practices including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security. - Monitor and improve cloud resource utilization for cost-effectiveness and performance optimization. - Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment and testing in cloud settings.
