Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a related field required.
- 7-10 years of relevant professional experience required.
- Certification in Human-Centered Design such as Service Design, Design Thinking, or UX preferred.
- Proven experience in leading and facilitating workshops, sometimes concurrently.
- Demonstrated success in delivering service or transformation initiatives with measurable impacts on service and customer experiences.
- Experience in producing essential service design artifacts including journey maps, service blueprints, and operational model implications.
- Skilled in translating service design artifacts into actionable delivery outputs in Agile environments.
- Experience in driving technology modernization, automation, and AI-enhanced service improvements.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for security clearance (dependent on program requirements).
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement service design solutions addressing critical government service challenges innovatively.
- Oversee user engagement and conduct research, utilizing techniques like observations, interviews, and surveys.
- Advocate for a strategic, human-centered service design approach to foster innovation and competitive edge.
- Assist the organization in progressing concepts from high-level vision to execution through planning and road mapping.
- Guide the facilitation of co-creation sessions such as workshops and journey mapping activities.
- Employ human-centered design strategies to gain insights into user attitudes, needs, and aspirations to enhance service experiences.
- Define design challenges, promote brainstorming sessions, and swiftly prototype solutions.
- Use divergent design thinking to produce new concepts, processes, and services, converging ideas into viable solutions with team collaboration.
- Communicate insights and value propositions to enhance organizational design focus and customer-centricity.
- Construct compelling narratives using service models, customer journeys, prototypes, and design concepts to showcase value to citizens and stakeholders.
