Cyber Security Engineer with threat analysis

Requirements
Must:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance is mandatory.
- Bachelors degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Availability to work onsite in San Antonio, TX up to five days per week, depending on client needs.
- IAT Level II certification is required.
- At least 5 years of experience with DoD cybersecurity policies and frameworks, including RMF, NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and DISA STIGs.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
- At least 5 years of experience securing network protocols, operating systems, and databases.
- 5 years of experience in scripting for automation and reporting, particularly in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Responsibilities
- Implement and uphold cybersecurity controls for supporting JCC2 operational systems.
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and threat analysis activities.
- Execute security testing and validation to identify and mitigate system vulnerabilities.
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents and security events.
- Develop remediation strategies and assist in incident recovery efforts.
- Maintain security documentation, playbooks, and reporting materials.
- Ensure adherence to DoD cybersecurity policies, RMF, and security standards.
- Support system accreditation and security evaluation processes.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to enhance system security measures.
- Participate in Agile program increment (PI) planning and activities, which may involve occasional travel.
