Requirements
Must:
- I hold a Bachelor's Degree and have over 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in site reliability and technical operations.
- I possess a SAFe certification in an appropriate area and have a solid technical foundation with practical experience in automated, agile environments, delivering infrastructure, monitoring, and tooling for software platforms.
- I have a proven track record in leading diverse teams of technologists and extensive experience in modern DevOps practices.
- I'm knowledgeable about cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure, as well as Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD systems and processes.
- I understand security tooling, scanning, and audits and have experience with short release cycles in SAFe Agile environments.
- My decision-making is driven by data and metrics, and I have demonstrated success in influencing and driving the DevOps and Engineering strategy.
- I am capable of managing 24/7 site monitoring, owning uptime and performance SLA, and working effectively within a matrixed environment.
- I possess high emotional intelligence, enabling me to interface and collaborate across functional areas.
- My communication skills are executive-level, allowing me to present, collaborate, and partner with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- I have a Master's degree preferred, and additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Responsibilities
- I will promote a DevOps culture by developing best practices, standards, and procedures, and educate the Engineering organization to share knowledge.
- My role includes simplifying and standardizing our CI/CD pipeline for continuous feature release while maintaining system stability.
- I will evaluate emerging technologies to determine their integration potential, serving as a thought leader.
- I will provide security guidelines and standards to position us as best-in-class for security practices, showing my commitment to our security.
- I will monitor my team's performance, provide timely feedback, create improvement plans as needed, and conduct quarterly performance reviews with each direct report.
- My responsibilities also entail developing and communicating DevSecOps-related metrics for organizational and leadership awareness.
- I will oversee the operation and support of our DevOps CI/CD pipeline with a focus on automation and security integration.
- Critical decisions regarding platform technology evolution will be mine, balancing the resolution of technical debt with investments in cutting-edge technology capabilities.
Description
I am seeking a highly experienced and innovative DevSecOps Director to lead and enhance our DevSecOps practice at Maximus Digital Solutions. This pivotal leadership position involves establishing and driving the strategy, implementation, and continuous improvement of our software delivery pipeline, infrastructure automation, cloud operations, and site reliability engineering. I will build and mentor a high-performing team of DevSecOps engineers, collaborating with engineering, product, and security teams for efficient, reliable, and secure product delivery. I will advocate for integrating security throughout the software development lifecycle, fostering a culture of shared responsibility among the development, operations, and security teams. My expertise will promote the adoption of automation, tooling, and best practices to deliver secure, reliable, high-performance software products. This role is based in Princeton, New Jersey, and I expect to be in the office three days a week to foster in-person collaboration with my team and other leaders.
