Requirements
Must:
- 10 years of experience in Software Development roles
- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, information technology/systems, or a relevant technical field
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#
- Advanced knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and database design principles
- Skilled in SQL query authoring and performance optimization
- Experience in processing and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets
- Familiarity with visualization/reporting tools
- Understanding of Cloud technologies including Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, and Databricks
- Knowledge of data science tools like Dataiku, Jupyter, and Rapid Miner is advantageous
- Familiarity with Big Data tools such as Hadoop, Pig, Hive, and PySpark is a plus
- Experience with ETL tools like Azure Data Factory and Informatica is also a plus
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with attention to detail
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Previous experience at Morgan Stanley is a significant advantage
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with technology and business users to establish key metrics and develop analytical dashboards for actionable client insights
- Construct and enhance data pipelines to integrate data from diverse sources, transforming and modeling it for distribution
- Work with both structured and unstructured data to optimize data cubes for analytical uses and downstream systems
- Identify, design, and implement enhancements for data processing, storage, and scalability
- Build and maintain analytics tools harnessing the data pipeline for insight into data trends
- Participate in the development and support of analytics and machine learning projects
- Assist in transitioning the data platform from on-premises to cloud infrastructure
- Engage with various stakeholders, including Technology and Client teams, to facilitate data and analytics projects and resolve issues
