- I seek candidates with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (such as physics or mathematics) or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with algorithms, data structures, scripting, pipeline management, and software design is essential.
- I need individuals with a systematic approach to problem-solving, strong communication skills, and a sense of ownership and drive.
- You should be able to debug and optimize code while automating repetitive tasks.
- Experience dealing with challenging situations and a sense of urgency in decision-making is necessary.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby is desired.
- An interest in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems is a plus.
- I require team members who thrive on change and excel in pushing the limits of automation.
- Experience collaborating with development, operations, and product teams to prioritize needs and foster relationships is a must.
- Familiarity with industry-standard CI/CD tools like Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, and Chef is preferred, along with experience in designing efficient CI/CD flows.

Responsibilities
- I expect you to be involved in and enhance the entire lifecycle of services—from inception and design to deployment, operation, and refinement.
- Provide feedback on ITSM activities of the platform to development teams regarding operational gaps or resiliency concerns.
- Support services prior to going live through system design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
- Maintain services post-launch by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.
- Ensure sustainable system scaling using automation and advocate for changes that enhance reliability and velocity.
- Oversee the application CI/CD pipeline for promoting software into higher environments, validating gating processes, and leading the adoption of DevOps automation best practices.
- Engage in sustainable incident response practices and conduct blameless post-mortems.
- Utilize a holistic problem-solving approach during production events by connecting different technology layers to optimize recovery time.
- Collaborate with a global team across multiple tech hubs and time zones.
- Share knowledge and mentor junior team members.
