Requirements
Must:
- Demonstrated strong ownership and the capacity to quickly learn and adapt.
- Proven ability to lead influence through aligning others, driving decisions, and overcoming obstacles in delivery.
- Robust understanding of service and platform-level system architecture, including distributed systems and event-driven designs.
- Experience with advanced design patterns like dependency injection and lazy loading.
- Proficient in utilizing open frameworks, particularly Spring Boot.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience in designing, building, and maintaining production-grade systems.
- Expertise in Java, Spring, gRPC, and backend service development for high-performance, scalable applications.
- Familiar with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS) and cloud-native architectures including migration strategies.
- Experience with relational databases (such as Oracle) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra).
- Familiarity with Business Rule Management Systems like IBM ODM, along with queuing technologies such as MQ and Kafka.
- Proven capability to lead design discussions, conduct code reviews, and enforce engineering standards.
- Experience with contemporary development methodologies (Agile, CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews).
- Understanding of secure coding practices (e.g., OWASP, CWE, SEI CERT) and vulnerability management.
Responsibilities
- Take the lead in designing and delivering high-quality, reliable software.
- Guide significant technical decisions and contribute to the overall architecture of the platform.
- Advocate for strong engineering practices, including clean code, systematic reviews, automation, and CI/CD.
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with product teams and cross-functional partners to deliver effective solutions.
- Ensure the development of a high-performance, real-time AI and decisioning platform that processes numerous transactions instantaneously.
