Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with coding experience
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Spring Framework, Python, or Go
- Deep understanding of DevOps principles and configuration management
- Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems
- Strong appreciation for observability, automation, and continuous improvement
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus
- Experience with observability tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, and Grafana
- Keen interest in new technologies and practices for scaling architecture
- Understanding of algorithms, data structures, scripting, and software design
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with effective communication
- Natural leadership qualities and mentoring abilities
- Willingness to embrace challenges and collaborate in a diverse, matrixed team
- Ability to balance quick fixes with long-term system health strategies
- Comfort in working with cross-functional teams to ensure clarity in system behaviors and monitoring needs
Responsibilities
- Ensure overall health, performance, and capacity of applications as the primary contact
- Support services pre-launch with system design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews
- Collaborate with development and product teams to implement monitoring strategies and zero downtime during deployments
- Design for operational resilience and maintain a reliable, scalable infrastructure
- Conduct root cause analyses and work with development teams to resolve incidents
- Stay current with trends in SRE and cloud computing
- Participate in on-call rotations to address critical incidents
- Maintain complete ownership of the products operational run
- Execute sustainable incident management and blameless post-mortems
- Automate alerts to proactively address issues and establish SLOs for reliability
- Engage in the entire service lifecycle, from inception through deployment and refinement
- Oversee CI/CD pipelines for software deployment and promote DevOps best practices
- Analyze ITSM activities and provide feedback to enhance operational resilience
