Requirements
Must:
- Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics/Mathematics, Computer Science/Engineering, or a quantitative field such as Physics or Economics.
- Familiarity with Data Science or Advanced Machine Learning research literature and capability to build prototypes using open-source frameworks.
- Strong analytical thinker with problem-solving skills adept at developing solutions.
- Understanding of algorithms, data structures, and foundational data science/analysis concepts.
- Experience working with large datasets.
- Strong statistical knowledge to select appropriate methodologies and validate outcomes.
- Proficiency in programming languages and machine learning tools, particularly Python.
- Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is advantageous.
- Effective communicator in various formats, capable of transforming complex data into straightforward, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
- Experience or interest in working with PySpark is a benefit.
Responsibilities
- Analyze intricate and voluminous datasets to uncover critical patterns and trends.
- Develop and prototype algorithms and machine learning models.
- Identify new opportunities in data collection, feature creation, model tuning, and evaluation practices, moving concepts to live product implementations.
- Innovate product solutions to address emerging business challenges.
- Utilize the latest research in data modeling to unveil opportunities, crafting pioneering algorithms and systems that evolve into key commercial products.
- Maintain model development pipelines, libraries, and machine learning infrastructure.
- Establish performance indicators and ensure effective monitoring and benchmarking for model comparisons.
- Engage in networking and mentorship opportunities with senior team members.
- Participate in volunteer initiatives and team-building activities.
