Requirements
Must:
- We require a bachelors degree or an equivalent blend of education and training.
- We prefer candidates with 1–2 years of relevant experience.
- We value strong analytical, written, verbal, and organizational abilities.
- We require proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Access.
- We prefer experience with survey design and survey software.
- We prefer familiarity with Tableau.
- We may require occasional local travel within Massachusetts, with very rare travel outside the state.
Responsibilities
- We collect and retrieve data, carry out initial analysis, and help produce informational and advocacy content.
- We design, run, and administer surveys and related analytical tools.
- We gather external information and combine qualitative and quantitative findings to identify trends for reports and presentations.
- We maintain and refresh key databases used to evaluate the current and projected effects of federal and state programs on Massachusetts hospitals.
- We monitor and support the creation of materials related to provider and payer performance, legislative and budgetary actions, regulatory developments, and clinical quality and safety measures.
- We prepare written documents and presentations for members, stakeholders, regulators, and legislators.
- We contribute to coalition-building efforts with our members, advocacy partners, and other community organizations.

We are the Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association (MHA), a not-for-profit organization representing hospitals, health systems, and related partners who share a commitment to improving the health of people across the Commonwealth. Through public advocacy, education, and information, we support our members in delivering high-quality, cost-effective, and accessible care. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Burlington, MA, reporting to our Chief Data Officer and working closely with hospital members on health finance, operations, policy, Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance issues.
