Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 3 years as an Investment Data Product Analyst or in a similar capacity
- At least 3 years of experience within financial services, insurance, or a related sector
- Proficient understanding of Investment Data needs across various asset classes including public and private investments, and bank loans
- Minimum 3 years of expertise in SQL and data manipulation tools (such as Python, R)
- Familiarity with data governance tools like Collibra, Alation, and Data360
- Training or certification in Data Modelling, Data Governance, or Data Science is preferred
- Experience with Eagle STAR, Eagle Pace, and Eagle DataMart is advantageous
- Robust comprehension of financial instruments, investment management processes, and data governance principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative approach
- Proven capability to manage myriad projects and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving proficiency
- Knowledge of data modelling concepts
- Experience with data quality tools, data lineage tracking, and metadata management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive end-to-end lineage for critical data elements and sub-domains
- Collaborate with data owners and stewards to ensure our list of critical data aligns with business needs and that lineage is validated for newly defined critical elements
- Partner with stewards across portfolio management, investment operations, and accounting teams to verify that our data catalog is accurate and complete, with defined data descriptions, usage rules, and accuracy standards
- Contribute to the business data model encompassing investment domains and sub-domains based on business requirements
- Liaise with Data Owners to keep abreast of their needs and ensure alignment with the business data model
- Manage communication between operational and technology teams, translating business requirements into technical specifications
- Establish KPIs and monitor data governance adoption via tools and reports
- Track issues raised and their resolution times to ensure efficient governance practices.
