Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree
- Over 5 years of experience in the information technology sector
- At least 1 year of experience with centralized logging, SIEM, and data pipeline
- Weekly on-call responsibilities assigned on a team rotation (currently every 10 weeks)
- Proficiency in maintaining the stability of SIEM and data pipeline platforms, diagnosing and addressing related issues, creating, responding to, and managing alerts, as well as onboarding and parsing data
- Experience with SOAR platforms
- Familiarity with Terraform, GitHub, Jenkins, and Amazon Machine Image (AMI) updates
- Competence in data manipulation and data science
- Expertise in regular expressions
- Practical experience supporting vendors such as Kafka, Sumo Logic, Splunk, Cribl, Crowdstrike, AWS, XSOAR, Torq, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Netskope, Google, Apple, Microsoft, and Atlassian
- Background in Linux system administration
- Proficiency in scripting languages and programming in JSON, JavaScript, Python, and Bash
- Experience with UNIX and Windows Servers, and Java
- Understanding of information security systems such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus solutions, data loss prevention, vulnerability scanning, Active Directory, and LDAP
- Preferred knowledge of Database Management systems (MySQL, Sybase, Oracle, DB2, MS-SQL), including building queries and developing stored procedures
- Experience in developing information security solutions from either an architect or engineering perspective
- Ability to troubleshoot within a corporate network
- Experience with secure data communications and applications
- Extensive knowledge of current and emerging IT security technologies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills alongside excellent customer service abilities
- Exceptional troubleshooting capabilities and aptitude for problem-solving with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow and JIRA for customer support
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with business partners to design and implement solutions addressing specific security challenges
- Streamline incident response and automate vital workflows
- Build and maintain robust logging, data pipeline, and SOAR platforms in partnership with the Security Operations Center and Security Intelligence teams
- Contribute directly to enhancing detection, response, and the overall security posture of the organization
- Deploy, manage, and optimize centralized logging tools, data pipeline, and SOAR platforms at scale
- Ensure comprehensive visibility and rapid response capabilities across the organization
- Engage with internal customers and key stakeholders to onboard logs, manipulate data, create playbooks, write scripts, and configure integrations
