Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related Technical field
- 8 years of relevant IT Solutions Architecture or Technical Lead experience
- 10 years of IT Architecture or IT consulting experience preferred
- Familiarity with the Insurance and Wealth Management sectors
- Experience with technologies related to Financial Planning, Order Management, Lending, and Wealth Investment Products
- Strong communication, presentation, persuasion, and reasoning abilities
- Collaborative team-oriented approach with a proven track record of working effectively with varied stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and foster partnerships
- Insight into the impact of IT on business outcomes
- Experience utilizing Architecture Methodologies (TOGAF, Archimate)
- Competent decision-making skills with a solid ability to assess costs and benefits of actions
- Familiarity with Public Cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and knowledge of Cloud-native services
- AWS/Azure Cloud Certification
- Extensive experience in Architecture and Design patterns
- Knowledgeable in Domain Driven Design
- Proficient with event streaming and implementation utilizing Kafka, along with web service protocols like SOAP, REST, JSON, and XML/XSDs
- Experience with REST API for data interchange and integration of digital and backend systems
- Proven track record of creating architectural reference materials
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior leadership to shape and maintain the Technology strategies and roadmap for Wealth Management
- Conduct technical evaluations and benchmarking of core application platforms, frameworks, and technologies
- Specify and publish standards for application design and software engineering best practices
- Engage in thought leadership through participation in conferences and research with strategic partners and academic institutions
- Partner with business executives and senior architects to pinpoint data and process challenges, offering solution options and recommendations
- Provide insights on system alternatives, risks, cost/benefit analysis, and their effects on cross-domain systems, business strategy, and goals
- Participate in problem-solving sessions and produce comprehensive architecture documentation
- Actively share deliverables and use multimedia tools to educate and engage with architecture community members
- Work closely with extended enterprise architecture, business, and IT support teams to communicate architecture strategies, standards, and directions
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends
