Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Over 8 years of experience in IT Solutions Architecture or as a Technical Lead
- 10+ years of relevant IT Architecture or IT consulting experience (preferred)
- 5 years of experience in Investment Management and/or Finance (ideal)
- Knowledge of Emerging Technologies in Investment Management, including AI/ML
- Familiarity with IM Platforms such as Eagle, Aladdin, Calypso, or Murex
- Experience in designing and integrating data management platforms, including ABOR/IBOR data layers and data modeling for the IM domain
- Exceptional communication, presentation, persuasion, and reasoning abilities
- Proven track record of working effectively in diverse teams with various stakeholders
- Strong ability to influence, collaborate, and partner with others
- Understanding of how IT impacts business outcomes
- Experience utilizing Architecture Methodology (TOGAF, ArchiMate)
- Strong decision-making skills with the capability to evaluate costs and benefits of options
- Familiarity with Public Cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and Cloud-native services
- AWS/Azure Cloud Certification
- Extensive experience with Architecture and Design patterns
- Knowledgeable in Domain Driven Design
- Significant experience with event streaming design and implementation using Kafka, as well as web service protocols such as SOAP, REST, JSON, XML/XSDs
- Proficient in REST API for data interchange and API-driven systems integration decoupling digital and backend systems
- Proven history of creating architectural reference documents
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Corporate Technology Finance & Investment Management delivery teams, engineers, application operations, product managers, and enterprise stakeholders to develop innovative, data-driven systems that transform the insurance sector
- Conduct technical assessments and comparisons of core application platforms, frameworks, and technologies
- Establish and disseminate standards for application design and software engineering best practices
- Provide thought leadership and actively participate in conferences and research initiatives with strategic partners and academic institutions
- Work alongside senior leadership to create and maintain technology strategies and roadmaps
- Partner with business executives and senior architects to identify data and process challenges, offering potential solutions and recommendations
- Offer insights on system options, risks, cost-benefit analyses, and implications for cross-domain systems, as well as business strategies and objectives
- Engage in problem-solving activities related to system architecture and create comprehensive architecture documents
- Regularly publish deliverables and utilize multimedia to educate and engage members of the federated solution architecture community
- Work in collaboration with extended enterprise architecture, business, and IT support teams to communicate architecture strategies, standards, and direction
- Stay updated on emerging technologies
