Requirements

Must:
### - A Bachelor’s degree is required. - At least 8 years of experience in investment data with a strong grasp of systems and data management. - A minimum of 8 years of experience with derivative systems and their configuration. - Familiarity with derivatives, collateral management, risk, compliance, and accounting is preferred. - A background of 6 years as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in systems like Calypso, Aladdin, or similar, including strong workflow and configuration knowledge. - Proficiency in configuration specifications documentation and release management. - In-depth understanding of derivative trade operations, lifecycle events, collateral management, and payment workflows. - Advanced skills in Excel (including Pivot Tables and VBA), SQL, and Python. - Experience with Agile methodologies, Jira, and Confluence, along with strong project and requirement documentation skills. - Proven capability to juggle multiple priorities, drive continuous enhancement, and adjust to changes. - Strong analytical and technical abilities demonstrated through the creation of clear Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), comprehension of complex data structures, and management of ETL processes to support system and workflow improvements. - Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills, with effective communication across all levels. - Eligibility to work in the US without the need for sponsorship. ###

As a Derivative Systems Data Analyst, you will be a vital part of our specialized team. You will collaborate with various Lines of Business (LOBs), Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Investment Managers, Compliance teams, and subsidiaries to offer expertise and analytical solutions to tackle essential issues and propel strategic initiatives forward. Your responsibilities will include: - Understanding data flows and hierarchies within the derivative system to support the daily delivery of data to our stakeholders for critical reporting and analysis. - Maintaining accountability for data within the MassMutual derivative data ecosystem, helping to define requirements and ensure data suitability. - Translating business requirements and prioritizing tasks in collaboration with Product Owners and Developers. - Facilitating communication with external partners and asset managers to implement business solutions for evolving needs. - Conducting root cause analysis and resolving data challenges, including suggesting and executing process improvements. - Serving as a point of escalation and ongoing support for front office, middle office, and back office teams, ensuring that process documentation is accurate and up to date. ###

The Derivative Systems Data Analyst Team plays a significant role in supporting MassMutual’s General Investment Account (GIA) through the Derivative Center of Excellence (CoE). By working closely with stakeholders across the derivative ecosystem—including Investment Management Front Office, Operations, and external vendors—we provide essential analysis, documentation, enhancements, testing, and delivery related to derivative applications, configurations, data flows, and integrations.
