Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, or an Associate degree with relevant field experience is essential.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification is mandatory.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial.
- A minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) is necessary.
- Proven project management abilities are required.
- Excellent self-direction and time management skills are vital.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Quality Auditors and Quality Technicians, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Guide and develop team members to enhance technical and quality capabilities.
- Act as the Process Quality Lead in PPT/IPT projects.
- Identify, coordinate, and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives within production and business workflows.
- Educate and support others on APQP, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality principles across the organization.
- Explore and apply new manufacturing technologies and quality-related techniques.
- Investigate quality issues to find root causes and execute corrective actions using methodologies such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, and FMEA.
- Ensure preventive measures are in place to stop quality problems from leaving the facility through effective quality systems.
- Manage major projects and initiatives aligned with return on investment and business objectives.
- Effectively juggle multiple priorities utilizing strong organizational and planning skills.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence and advocate for changes across departments.
- Communicate clearly using strong verbal and written skills.
- Adapt to evolving business needs and industry trends through embracing new technologies and continuous learning.
