Requirements
Must:
- Stationary Engineer/Boiler Operator License
- Valid Drivers License
- Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience
- No supervisory experience required
Responsibilities
- Monitor and inspect boiler systems, computer terminals, valves, gauges, and emergency devices
- Maintain chemical, water, and fuel levels in boilers
- Adjust combustion air supplies and manage fuel flow
- Fire gas or oil boilers using automated systems
- Conduct testing and record results for water quality
- Install and maintain appliances and equipment, performing preventative maintenance as necessary
- Keep daily logs of operations, maintenance tasks, and safety measures
- Report significant maintenance issues or safety concerns to management
- Conduct routine inspections of the mechanical plant
- Assist local authorities during emergencies or natural disasters
- Adhere to all safety and security policies and complete required training
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues
- Strive for adherence to quality standards and explore methods to enhance efficiency and safety
- Physically move objects weighing up to 75 pounds as needed
- Navigate through confined spaces, using ladders and stairs
- Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors
