Requirements
Must:
- 10+ years of experience in general z/OS systems programming
- 5+ years of expertise in installation, maintenance, configuration, and support of various IBM, Broadcom, BMC, and other ISV products
- 3+ years in mainframe hardware configuration and network management
- 3+ years using and customizing z/OSMF
- Familiarity with Coupling Facility, SYSPLEX, and Structures
- Experience in performance monitoring and optimization
- Proficient in managing storage, including DASD and virtual tape
- Knowledge of Assembler and REXX programming
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support
- Ability to analyze existing environments to identify critical deficiencies and propose improvements
- Competence in updating and creating system documentation as needed
Responsibilities
- Execute various z/OS systems programming tasks
- Provide installation, maintenance, configuration, and support for a variety of software products
- Configure mainframe hardware and manage networks
- Customize and utilize z/OSMF in daily operations
- Monitor system performance and implement tuning strategies
- Manage storage resources, including both DASD and virtual tape
- Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours support
- Conduct environmental analyses to pinpoint deficiencies and recommend solutions
- Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation
