Requirements
Must:
- 8+ years of experience in software development with advanced knowledge in multiple programming languages and methodologies
- 5+ years of direct experience in iOS native application development languages, frameworks, and tools (e.g., Swift, SwiftUI, Objective-C)
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent qualifications/certifications
- Familiarity with Agile software methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe is preferred
- Proficiency with DevOps tools like Git, JIRA, Jenkins, Dynatrace
- Experience in app development for large, critical user bases
- Strong understanding of dynamic data usage with services (e.g., JSON, REST APIs, GQL, etc.)
- Experience in Data Modeling, Networking, and Push Notification frameworks
- Familiarity with Apple Watch application development
- Contributions to Open Source Software (OSS) projects
- Relevant technology certifications are a plus
- Experience developing apps with varying UI for different screen sizes (phones and tablets)
- Knowledge of 3rd Party SDK integrations and open-source libraries
- Experience in packaging and publishing applications on the App Store
- Proficient in iOS analytics, crash reporting, testing, and related frameworks
- Up-to-date understanding of trends in mobile and web technologies
- Demonstrated ability to foresee future opportunities in software engineering
- Leadership experience in a sourced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts clearly
- Ability to achieve outcomes through collaboration, establishing strong relationships, and effective management in a service-oriented environment
Responsibilities
- Guide and mentor team members and peers as necessary
- Provide financial insights on department/project budgets and resource estimates
- Identify opportunities for enhancing service delivery processes
- Conduct complex quantitative and qualitative analyses for service delivery projects
- Ensure expected deliverables and obligations from Service Providers are met
- Validate completeness of requirements before Service Provider solutions are created
- Ensure all projects comply with established development and business case processes
- Coordinate effectively with IT and vendor relations teams
- Offer consultation for both routine and complex systems development
- Alert business stakeholders about any service level degradation or missed targets
- Collaborate with Operations and Infrastructure for deployment and production support activities
- Adhere to defined IT standards and processes while suggesting improvements to relevant process administrators
- Maintain a balance between business requirements and operational risks
- Follow established project management principles and practices
- Validate Service Providers project plans, including timelines, deliverables, and performance metrics
- Develop short-term plans for resource optimization within the team
- Monitor outcomes from Service Providers and assess accuracy of project estimates provided to clients
- Facilitate prompt resolution of service delivery issues, minimizing client impact
