Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field - 7 years of progressively responsible experience in Network Security Engineering - 7 years of experience with TACACS+ and RADIUS protocols - 7 years of expertise in designing and implementing policies within zero trust security tools - 7 years of experience utilizing wireshark, tcpdump, nmap, and other analysis techniques - 7 years of proficiency in developing, documenting, and managing requirements gathering processes with detailed design and implementation plans throughout the project lifecycle - 7 years of knowledge in foundational data networking and IP technologies such as ARP, TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and others - 7 years of experience in installing, managing, troubleshooting, and administering firewall management solutions (e.g., Firemon, Palo Alto Panorama, Checkpoint MDS, and/or Aruba ClearPass) - 6 years of experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting zero trust security tools (such as Cisco ISE or other network admission tools) - 6 years of experience with routing and switching platforms (Cisco, Juniper, and/or HP/Aruba) - 6 years of experience with related network security tools - 5 years of experience with one or more Cloud Computing platforms (e.g., Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Compute Engine) - 6 months of experience with Agile methodologies, including daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning sessions, and user story preparations

Responsibilities

- Design and execute network configurations, security measures, and monitoring strategies for Marriott Internationals networks, including Property, Datacenter/Cloud, and Corporate Networks - Collaborate with architecture, engineering, operations, and application specialists to establish standards and frameworks for all network components - Deliver engineering expertise to support Marriotts network configuration, security, and monitoring infrastructure - Engineer network solutions that enhance stability, consolidation, manageability, and integration of future technologies - Offer guidance on modifying and maintaining existing network architecture, manage project requests, oversee lifecycle management, capacity, health, performance management, continuous service improvement, and reporting - Provide architectural and design support for Marriotts campus, property, and data center infrastructures, with a focus on network security, remote access, wireless, LAN, WAN, and load balancing - Maintain effective collaboration with technology providers and third-party engineering, application, and operations teams - Advocate for the development and implementation of automation strategies utilizing industry-standard solutions and languages like Ansible and Python, with a focus on native or REST APIs - Oversee governance and strategic direction pertinent to network infrastructure services to facilitate IT service delivery across Marriotts networks - Contribute insights into overall architecture and operational governance models - Lead or engage in research and design of high-performing, secure components that meet the necessary business functionalities - Educate internal and external users on technologies to enhance organizational knowledge and technical skills - Participate in or lead the evaluation and selection of service products - Analyze the current environment to identify critical deficiencies and propose solutions for enhancement - Utilize capability modeling to align systems strategy with business objectives - Consult with project teams to determine when service modifications are necessary to comply with project requirements - Support and promote standard configuration and change management practices - Develop and document test plans, implementation strategies, and project schedules for assigned initiatives
