Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent professional experience - Over 7 years of experience in network development engineering - At least 5 years of experience in network development and DevOps, proficient with tools like AAP, Terraform, Harness, and Git for delivering network solutions in public cloud - Minimum 5 years in a lead role managing large-scale projects for resilient cloud-based network solutions, encompassing both cloud-native and vendor-specific solutions - Expertise in cloud-native networking solutions such as CloudWAN, VPC, NLB/ALB, Internet Gateways, and Transit Gateways - Proficient in Infrastructure as Code development using AAP (Ansible) and Terraform with Harness or GitActions - Ability to design and implement scalable, highly available, and secure network architectures across multiple cloud service providers - Skills in configuring and managing cloud networking components including VPCs, subnets, firewalls, VPNs, and Direct Connect/ExpressRoute - Experience in implementing and managing multi-cloud and hybrid connectivity solutions for seamless integration across different cloud platforms and on-premises data centers - Deep knowledge of network routing, particularly BGP - Capable of performing technical writing related to network solutions and diagrams

Responsibilities

- Oversee Cloud Networks products and solutions, focusing on the design, engineering, and delivery of new solutions for Marriott applications across cloud networks - Collaborate closely with cloud architects, developers, and security teams to design network solutions that fulfill business requirements - Provide technical advice and support to internal teams and clients on network configurations and best practices - Validate and manage projects to implement and sustain services while adhering to deadlines - Coordinate with vendors to ensure commitments for engineering design, network implementation, and technical support service delivery are met - Strive for operational improvements by developing and sharing best practices, technical concepts, and innovations for Cloud Networks - Regularly assess and recommend new tools and technologies to boost network performance and security - Maintain thorough documentation of network configurations, procedures, and updates - Contribute to managing project timelines, risks, and financials - Mentor or train team members as necessary - Establish collaborative relationships across Marriott to define services and meet service requirements - Act as an escalation point for resolving service delivery and operational challenges - Identify enhancements to the service delivery processes - Engage in capacity planning and scaling of network infrastructure to meet rising demands
