Requirements
Must:
- Over 10 years of leadership experience in application development
- Extensive experience in enterprise-scale native mobile application development for iOS or Android
- Proven track record of developing large-scale applications that support millions of users
- Experience managing multiple Omni-Channel development projects integrating various backend systems
- Familiarity with Automation, CI/CD, and Release Management for app store deployments
- Knowledge of Enterprise-level SDKs for Analytics, Networking, Customer Engagement, and Performance Monitoring
- Strong understanding of API platforms, backend services, and full-stack infrastructure
- Undergraduate or graduate degree or equivalent education and experience
- Demonstrated success in leading medium to large-scale initiatives
- Solid understanding of Agile methodology, preferably SAFe Agile
- Experience with hybrid and offshore delivery models
- Strong process management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent prioritization and execution skills in high-pressure scenarios
- Familiarity with the hospitality industry and its service requirements
- Basic knowledge of the other mobile platform (iOS or Android)
- Ability to creatively assess and address customer needs
- Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts in simple terms
- Proven capability to achieve results by building effective relationships and controls in managed service environments
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical expert for iOS or Android mobile platforms, advising on strategic initiatives and providing hands-on support for the Marriott Bonvoy app
- Define the Target Architecture for mobile platforms and direct the Mobile Platform Roadmap
- Participate in forums and meetings to gather and translate functional and non-functional requirements into mobile application strategies
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders and mobile teams regarding architectural decisions and technical risks
- Collaborate with other engineers and leaders to resolve complex challenges while ensuring high-quality outcomes
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to developers, suggesting process improvements
- Represent both Android and iOS considerations in technical discussions for cross-platform projects
- Keep current with the mobile platform ecosystem, researching new tools and solutions
- Lead proof of concepts to evaluate new technologies against organizational goals
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on client feedback and project surveys
