Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D. with a vocational or technical background in maintenance and repair
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- Valid Drivers License
- Extensive experience and training in general maintenance, electrical, or refrigeration
- Familiarity with parts inventory and requisition processes
- At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
- Ability to operate standard engineering computer programs related to maintenance and energy management
- Strong general mechanical aptitude and engineering operations skills
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to guest repair requests and communicate effectively with customers
- Conduct preventive maintenance on tools, equipment, and machines
- Perform visual inspections of tools and equipment to identify maintenance needs
- Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as necessary
- Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts following company standards
- Display advanced knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems through the reading of blueprints and schematics
- Execute complex repairs on electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems with minimal supervision
- Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance tasks
- Troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment including air conditioners and electrical devices
- Train and mentor fellow engineers when needed
- Ensure compliance with company safety and security procedures, reporting hazards and incidents as they arise
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company dress standards
- Develop and foster positive working relationships with team members and guests
- Complete other reasonable job duties as assigned
