Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Some experience in general maintenance and surface preparation, including painting
- Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus
- Valid Drivers License
- Basic knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry
- Familiarity with general building maintenance and energy conservation
- Basic computer skills, including inputting schedules and making adjustments
Responsibilities
- Respond to and manage guest repair requests
- Communicate with guests to address maintenance issues
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
- Visually inspect and maintain tools and equipment
- Carry necessary tools and equipment for repairs
- Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and utilities
- Maintain maintenance inventory and order supplies as needed
- Record and communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts
- Conduct painting, minor drywall repairs, and light bulb or air filter replacements
- Test and troubleshoot various equipment and plumbing problems
- Program TVs and manage engineering-related inventory duties
- Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system for maintenance work
- Perform repairs on both interior and exterior landscaping and sprinklers
- Follow safety protocols and report any hazards or accidents
- Maintain a professional appearance and confidentiality
- Welcome and assist all guests, anticipating their service needs
- Develop positive relationships with team members and respond to their concerns
- Lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds without assistance
