Requirements
Must:
- Undergraduate degree in an engineering or computer science field and/or equivalent experience/certification
- Over 5 years of progressive experience in IT engineering, with 2-4+ years specifically focused on enterprise email/messaging
- At least 2 years of experience engineering Exchange Online and EOP/Microsoft Defender for Office 365
- A minimum of 2 years administering Cisco Secure Email (IronPort/ESA or CES)
- Proven skill in integrating with Microsoft 365 security tools and other security solutions like Splunk and CrowdStrike
- Expertise in messaging security standards and familiarity with new security technologies related to messaging
- Demonstrated proficiency in mail flow management in a large and complex messaging environment
- Practical knowledge of email authentication methods such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
- Experience with advanced PowerShell for Exchange Online and scripting for automation
- Background in operating hybrid Exchange and modernizing legacy protocols
- At least 2 years of experience working in Agile delivery environments with a user-centered design perspective
- Experience in integrating on-prem and cloud services in large, global enterprises
Responsibilities
- Manage Exchange Online/EOP/MDO configurations, including the design and improvement of anti-spam and anti-phishing policies
- Operate Cisco Secure Email to ensure effective routing, security, and reporting
- Lead initiatives for mail flow modernization and ensure interoperability between systems
- Engineer secure SMTP relay by defining requirements and collaborating with application and network teams
- Execute and enforce email authentication protocols across various domains
- Perform operations on hybrid Exchange and plan for decommissioning outdated features
- Integrate messaging telemetry with SIEM and set up alerting and response protocols
- Collaborate with Security and Legal for compliance and eDiscovery processes
- Maintain and update documentation and educate teams on new features and policies
- Serve as a Technical Subject Matter Expert for messaging services
- Participate in security incident response activities as needed
