Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or GED with 6 years of experience in engineering and maintenance or a related field, alongside technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing.
- OR a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or a relevant discipline, along with 4 years of experience in engineering and maintenance or a related field, alongside technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing.
- Proven expertise in managing engineering operations and budgets.
- Strong understanding of compliance standards with state, local, and federal regulations.
- Excellent leadership abilities to guide and support a team effectively.
- Strong communication skills for clear articulation of departmental goals and strategies.
- Capability to develop and manage operational budgets and evaluate financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the physical integrity of the building, grounds, and mechanical systems, with a focus on safety, security, and asset preservation.
- Develop and implement strategies that enhance guest and employee satisfaction while optimizing financial outcomes.
- Collaborate with the property and regional engineering leadership to assess budget performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage service contracts and ensure proper maintenance of equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
- Oversee compliance with safety regulations and maintain life safety systems.
- Provide mentorship and support to engineering staff in managing controllable costs.
- Supervise construction projects to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Conduct regular financial reviews and analyze performance metrics to inform strategic decisions.
