Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, along with a vocational or technical background.
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification.
- Must meet all relevant state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements.
- A valid Driver’s License.
- Preferred qualifications include at least 2 years of experience in hotel engineering/maintenance and familiarity with general maintenance, including exterior and interior surface preparation and painting.
Responsibilities
- I will respond to and attend to guest repair requests while effectively communicating with customers to resolve maintenance issues.
- I will perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, which entails cleaning and lubrication, as well as visually inspecting tools and machinery.
- I will identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves associated with equipment and buildings.
- I will maintain inventory for maintenance supplies and request parts as needed, ensuring clear communication regarding daily activities and issues with the other shifts.
- I will demonstrate proficiency in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical systems, mechanical processes, plumbing, and general building management while being capable of troubleshooting and completing basic repairs on various equipment.
- I will utilize the Lockout/Tagout system when conducting maintenance work and possess knowledge of all engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance and systems management.
- I will actively participate in training and mentoring other engineers, carry out Engineer on Duty responsibilities, and adhere to all company and safety protocols.
