Requirements

Must:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent with a vocational or technical background. - Extensive experience and training in general maintenance, electrical systems, refrigeration, parts inventory and requisition, and both exterior and interior surface preparation and painting. - At least 2 years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance. - Valid Driver’s License. - Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification. - Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

- I respond to and address guest repair requests, ensuring effective communication and resolution of maintenance issues with minimal supervision. - I perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and lubrication, and I visually inspect machinery and equipment. - I carry equipment such as tools and radios and identify, locate, and operate shut-off valves for all equipment. - I maintain the maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as necessary, communicating daily activities and any problems to other shifts using approved programs. - I exhibit advanced abilities in reading standard blueprints and electrical schematics related to plumbing and HVAC systems, demonstrating above-average skills in engineering operations and general mechanical proficiency. - I am competent in at least three of the following: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical systems, mechanical maintenance, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building management. - I ensure the safe usage of hand and power tools, perform complex repairs on electrical and plumbing systems, and conduct advanced troubleshooting on hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems while adhering to company and safety policies. - I mentor and train other engineers as needed and complete Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including routine readings and inspections. - I engage with guests in a professional manner, address their needs, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism in my appearance and conduct.
