Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent with vocational or technical training
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- Must meet state and federal certification or licensing requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance
- Extensive training in general maintenance, electrical or refrigeration
- Experience in parts inventory and requisition, surface preparation, and painting
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Strong mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment
- No supervisory experience required
- Valid Driver’s License
Responsibilities
- Attend to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues independently
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
- Inspect tools, equipment, and machines visually
- Identify and operate shut-off valves for various equipment
- Manage maintenance inventory and requisition parts as necessary
- Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts
- Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics for plumbing and HVAC systems
- Demonstrate advanced skills in air conditioning, electrical systems, plumbing, and other maintenance areas
- Conduct complex repairs on electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment
- Adhere to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Train and mentor other engineers as required
- Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including conducting readings and rounds
- Maintain professionalism in appearance and interactions with guests and coworkers
- Move and handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as necessary
