Requirements
Must:
- Stationary Engineer/Boiler Operator License required
- Valid Drivers License
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience
- Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree preferred
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures
- Capacity to work in confined and elevated spaces
- Strong communication skills with a focus on professionalism
- Ability to develop positive working relationships
Responsibilities
- Monitor and inspect boiler equipment and related systems
- Maintain appropriate levels of water, chemicals, and fuel in boilers
- Utilize automatic gas feeds or oil pumps for firing boilers
- Test and document water quality, taking corrective actions as needed
- Install and perform preventative maintenance on various appliances and equipment
- Keep detailed daily logs of operations and maintenance activities
- Report major maintenance issues, accidents, or hazards to a supervisor
- Conduct routine inspections of the mechanical plant
- Assist local authorities in emergency or disaster situations
- Follow all company safety and security policies and complete required training
- Anticipate guest service needs and assist individuals with disabilities
- Identify and recommend improvements for efficiency and safety
