Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Valid Drivers License
- Some experience in general maintenance, including surface preparation and painting
- Familiarity with hotel engineering or maintenance is advantageous
- No prior supervisory experience needed
Responsibilities
- Attend to and respond to guest repair requests promptly
- Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance-related issues
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment in kitchen and mechanical areas
- Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, and machines
- Identify, locate, and operate shut-off valves for all utilities
- Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed
- Document daily activities and communicate any issues to other shifts
- Display basic knowledge in air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and energy conservation
- Carry out surface preparation, painting, and minor repairs such as drywall and wood trim
- Test and troubleshoot equipment, plumbing, and electrical components
- Program TVs and assist with housekeeping and inventory duties
- Follow safety and security policies; report hazards and injuries
- Ensure a professional appearance and demeanor
- Build positive relationships within the team and support common goals
- Lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds as necessary
- Complete other reasonable duties as assigned
