Requirements
Must:
- A high school diploma or GED, along with four years of experience in engineering and maintenance or a related professional field; technical training in HVAC-R, electrical, or plumbing.
- Alternatively, a two-year degree from an accredited institution in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or a related discipline, plus two years of experience in the engineering and maintenance or a related professional area with technical training in HVAC-R, electrical, or plumbing.
Responsibilities
- I assist the department head with managing the budget, capital expenditures, preventative maintenance, and energy efficiency.
- I am responsible for ensuring the maintenance of the building and grounds, prioritizing safety, security, and asset protection.
- I assign, monitor, and follow up on the status of work delegated to staff and contractors, with the goal of enhancing both guest and employee satisfaction through effective communication and training.
- I help plan, schedule, and evaluate preventative maintenance initiatives and set priorities for overall property maintenance.
- I supervise day-to-day Engineering operations and manage the physical plant, including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical, and life safety systems.
- I sustain and operate equipment to ensure optimum effectiveness, efficiency, and safety while supervising the distribution of repair work orders.
- I recommend and arrange for additional services, such as painting, repairs, renovations, and replacement of furniture and equipment.
- Managing parts, supplies, and equipment inventories is crucial, and I ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and safety standards.
