Requirements
Must:
- Open availability is preferred
- At least 1 year of relevant experience is preferred
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Proficient in general maintenance and surface preparation
- Familiarity with hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus
- Valid Drivers License is required
- Basic knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical systems, plumbing, and carpentry
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer skills for scheduling and information access
Responsibilities
- Respond to and address guest repair requests promptly
- Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance concerns
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
- Carry and utilize maintenance tools and equipment
- Conduct visual inspections of tools and machinery
- Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as necessary
- Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts
- Display knowledge in various maintenance categories
- Execute surface preparations, painting, and minor repairs
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing and electrical components
- Program televisions and manage engineering-related inventory tasks
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures in all maintenance work
- Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality of information
- Interact with guests professionally and address their service needs
- Collaborate with team members toward shared goals
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned
