Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent with vocational or technical training
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- Experience in general maintenance, electrical systems, and refrigeration
- Minimum of 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
- Proficient in troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude with safe handling of power and hand tools
- Ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner
- Must hold a valid Driver’s License
- Should meet applicable state and federal certification and licensing requirements
Responsibilities
- Attend to guest repair requests efficiently and effectively
- Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment
- Carry out routine inspections of equipment and systems
- Maintain inventory and requisition necessary parts and supplies
- Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts
- Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
- Carry out repairs on various types of equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Utilize Lockout/Tagout system for maintenance tasks
- Facilitate troubleshooting of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems
- Assist in training and mentoring other engineers when required
- Adhere to safety and security protocols
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide exceptional guest service
- Develop positive working relationships with colleagues and respond to employee concerns
- Handle physical tasks as required, including lifting and moving objects
- Perform additional duties as assigned
