Engineer II - Overnight - Fort Lauderdale

- Respond to and address guest repair requests - Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance concerns independently - Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication - Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, or machines - Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and buildings - Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and request parts as needed - Document daily activities and issues to be shared with other shifts - Display proficiency in various engineering categories and basic skills in others - Troubleshoot and conduct basic repairs on all types of equipment and plumbing systems - Program televisions and manage general housekeeping and engineering tasks - Assist with surface preparation, painting, minor repairs, and area cleanup - Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system for safety during maintenance work - Use engineering computer programs related to preventive maintenance and energy management - Train and mentor junior engineers - Carry out Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and check-ups - Follow company safety policies and report maintenance issues or safety hazards - Maintain professionalism in appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information - Build positive working relationships with colleagues and support team goals - Lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required - Complete any other tasks as assigned
