Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent along with vocational or technical training
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- Compliance with all state and federal certification and licensing requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance
- Expertise in general maintenance and surface preparation, both interior and exterior
- Proven ability to safely operate hand and power tools
- No supervisory experience required
- Valid Driver’s License
Responsibilities
- Respond to and address guest repair requests promptly
- Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues independently
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubricating
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machinery
- Identify and operate shut-off valves for various equipment and buildings
- Manage maintenance inventory and order parts and supplies as necessary
- Document daily activities and issues to inform other shifts
- Demonstrate proficiency in air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and building management
- Safely troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment, plumbing, and electrical issues
- Program TVs and carry out routine housekeeping and engineering tasks
- Assist in minor repairs, painting, and thorough cleanup of work areas
- Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system prior to maintenance work
- Support team goals and maintain positive communications with colleagues
- Follow safety and security policies while maintaining professional appearance
