Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
- Valid drivers license
- Some experience in general maintenance and surface preparation
- Familiarity with hotel engineering or maintenance is an advantage
- Basic knowledge in air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills
- Capability to use computer systems for operational tasks
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and moving up and down stairs or ladders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to guest repair requests and maintenance issues
- Conduct preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen/mechanical equipment
- Perform visual inspections of various tools and equipment
- Identify and operate shut-off valves for systems and utilities
- Maintain and manage maintenance inventory, requisitioning parts as necessary
- Document daily activities and communicate issues to subsequent shifts
- Execute basic repairs on plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items
- Update air handler schedules and temperature settings using computers
- Utilize Lockout/Tagout procedures during maintenance tasks
- Assist with external landscaping and maintenance of sprinklers
- Ensure adherence to all safety and security policies and report hazards or injuries
- Maintain professionalism in personal appearance and confidentiality of information
- Foster positive relationships with team members and address concerns appropriately
- Execute additional reasonable job responsibilities as requested
